چکیده

The objective: to determine the effect of photoselective laser vaporization (FVP) on individual IIEF domains (sexual activity, libido, erection, ejaculation, ograzm, satisfaction with intercourse) in sexually active men BPO, as well factors which this depends.
Materials and methods. 95 patients benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) (prostate volume >40 cm3, maximum urinary flow rate Qmax <10 ml/s; QoL≥4) at age 45 60 years underwent FP (GreenLight XPS, MoxyFiber) ... Sexual function (IIEF), urination parameters (PSS/QoL, PVR, Qmax), prostate volume, intravesical protrusion, PSA were assessed before intervention 3 months after.
 Results. PVP had a statistically significant clinically micturition characterizing obstruction, size QoL. median IPSSobstructive decreased by 6 (4–7) points (W=7.6; P<0.01), PVR 48 (38–60) ml (W=6.2; IPP 0.9 (0.5–1.5) cm (W=9.4; P<0.01) Vprostate 31 (22–42) cm3 (W=8.5; QoL (2–4) (W=11.2; P<0.01). increased 23 (15–29) ml/s (W=13.3; values IPSSirritative IPSSnocturia did not change significantly (P<0.8 P<0.6, respectively). At after PVP, 84 (94.6 %) restored sexual activity. In 33 (39.28 them, an improvement erection 15 (17.85 deterioration found. 61 (72.26 lost emission.
Conclusions. most ejaculatory is loss emission. multidirectional manifests itself its deterioration. Further research needed mechanisms affects ejaculation order prevent negative effects.

Changes in Nocturia after Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate for Patients with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

PURPOSE To investigate changes in nocturia and predictive factors for improvement after photoselective vaporization of the prostate (PVP) for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 103 patients who complained of nocturia of >/=2 times per night on baseline frequency-volume chart (FVC) and who underwent PVP were included in this retrospective study. ...

Plasmakinetic enucleation of prostate versus 160-W laser photoselective vaporization for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia

BACKGROUND As an alternative to transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), photoselective vaporization of the prostate (PVP) provides a bloodless, relatively painless relief of lower urinary tract symptoms for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Following a review of the evidence in 2006, the Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee recommended that a study be conducted to evaluate ...

KTP laser photoselective vaporization of the prostate: an initial experience

Objective: To review the initial experience of potassium-titanyl-phosphate (KTP) laser photoselective vaporization of the prostate (PVP). Materials and methods: Thirty patients with benign prostatic enlargement who underwent PVP at our institution between March 2007 and June 2009 were prospectively analyzed. The efficacy of the procedure was assessed using the International Prostate Symptom Sco...

The Continuing Story of the Cost-Effectiveness of Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate versus Transuretheral Resection of the Prostate for the Treatment of Symptomatic Benign Prostatic Obstruction.

BACKGROUND In 2008, a UK assessment of technologies for benign prostatic obstruction concluded negatively about photoselective vaporization of the prostate (PVP), and the 2010 National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance caused several UK institutions to abandon PVP. OBJECTIVE To reassess the costs and effects of PVP versus transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) on the b...
